BCCI has given this information on its official Twitter page, in which it has talked to the management about Virat not playing due to some personal reasons.

Virat Kohli has also told the management and captain Rohit Sharma about his reasons for playing, and said that I give priority to playing for the country first.

But due to some personal reasons I will be unable to play the first two matches.

Let me tell you that Virat Kohli had gone to the Hyderabad venue on Monday 22nd January for test practice but was not seen practicing.
